PARKING LOT TEAM

Join our team of men in the parking lot, helping to direct traffic and welcome people to our Sunday night youth events! Let us know which Sundays you are available, and find the instructions / plan below. For more info, call or text Tim Jara at 972-768-2310

SUPPLIES & SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cones: Located in Carnival Storage (accessible through room 450, to the left of Assisi Hall. Ask Brisa Leung for access on Sundays).

  • Drop-Off Zone rolling signs: Located in Youth Ministry Office (under the clock tower)

  • A-Frame Signs: Located in Youth Ministry Office (under the clock-tower)

  • Reflector Vests: Located in Youth Ministry Office (under the clock-tower) or outside of Assisi Hall

SUNDAY SCHEDULE:

  • 3:30pm - YM Staff sets out cones to block off small parking lot between Assisi Hall and E Sandy Lake Rd.

  • 5:00pm - Parking Lot SQUAD member(s) set out all cones and signage as indicated below.

  • 5:30pm - Parking Lot SQUAD members in position to welcome and guide traffic (blue dots as indicated below).

  • 6:30pm - Drop-off Zone cones and signs removed from through way in front of Cenacle / Assisi Hall to prepare for

  • 7:30pm - Parking Lot SQUAD members (2-3) support as crossing guards in front of Cenacle and Assisi Hall, or as needed

  • 7:45pm - All remaining signs and cones removed from parking lot and put away.

 
 

BLUE DOTS - These mark location of where traffic guides should stand during drop-off. Do your best to keep cars in the main through ways. Parents will try to drop off teens in the middle of the parking lot and then try to exit the parking lot by Assisi Hall causing a bottle neck.

If a team member is available to stand near the exit near Assisi Hall and direct all exiting cars to TURN RIGHT (no left turn), that will help speed up the drop-off line.

  • Our response is always joy and welcome, ESPECIALLY when drivers are upset with the traffic pattern.

  • If parents want to park and walk their teen into the Cenacle or Assisi Hall, please allow them to park instead of remaining in the drop-off line.

  • If Core Members / Volunteers want to park outside Assisi or the Cenacle, they may do so!

At the end of the night, team members can support as a crossing guards stationed in front of the Cenacle and Assisi Hall.
