St. Ann High School Ministry is excited to return to the Diocese of Laredo for the 15th time this summer from July 12-18, 2026.  This event is open to current 9th-12th grade teens.

Our mission is simple… to build up the Church!    We hope to build up the church in Laredo, both physically and spiritually!  Physical projects involve working in Colonia areas to improve the quality of life, Vacation Bible School for parishes in Laredo, and much more. Probably even more important than our construction projects, though, is to build up the church spiritually as our young people share their love for Christ with the people of the community.  Ultimately it is our youth who receive so much as they encounter the joy and faith of the people of Laredo.  "It is in giving that we receive!" -Prayer of St. Francis

Below is all of the registration information for the coming year!

Registration Information:

UPDATE: Registration for Mission Laredo 2026 is now full. Please email Tim Jara at tjara@stannparish.org to be added to the waitlist.

If your teen secures a spot on Laredo a link will be emailed out within a week or so to fully register for the trip. Once the link is sent you will have two weeks to:

  • Registration will prompt you to upload a copy of your insurance card front and back

  • Registration will include a Code of Conduct

  • Registration also requires a $100 deposit.

Cost The cost of the trip is $650 per person. This money covers all of the expenses associated with our travel and stay in Laredo:

  • Buses – approx. $300 per person

  • Room and Board – $300 per person

  • The remaining $50 goes toward material for the worksites. We usually spend almost $20,000 on materials and supplies

Depart to Laredo:  Sunday, July 12th immediately following the 8 am Mass. We will return to St. Ann: on Saturday, July 18th in the late evening.

Housing: We are excited to stay at St. Patrick's parish on Del Mar Blvd. in north Laredo once again. It is a fabulous parish that can be best described as a smaller version of St. Ann.  It is the largest and most dynamic parish in the diocese!  They have wonderful facilities including a parish hall for large gatherings, classrooms for sleeping, showers, a Perpetual Adoration Chapel, and more!  This provides a safe and welcoming home for our missionaries during our time in Laredo.

Transportation: We will use Chartered Buses.

Final Payment:  Due by June 1st

Because this trip is so full we do not offer financial aid in most situations. We highly encourage personal fundraising. We need to see your teen fundraising by writing letters, doing online fundraising, etc. If they are still short after their personal fundraising, then come talk with our office.   Click here for a template letter to help formulate a letter to send to family and friends. This has been very effective in past years for those who have sought to raise money to cover the cost of their personal expenses for the trip.

*Donations made to cover the teen’s payment are NOT tax-deductible.

Work

The majority of our mission work will focus on serving poor communities around Laredo called Colonias.  We will work alongside the leaders of those communities to identify construction needs at the parish and surrounding community.  We will be traveling to Laredo ahead of time to finalize the specific construction projects for this year’s trip.  In addition to our construction projects, we will engage the local community by leading activities for younger children and inviting the local youth to join us in building up their communities.
