THE THINGS ABOVE // The Battle

This past Sunday we continued our series on THE THINGS ABOVE! Joey visited 242 and spoke about the spiritual battle that we are all facing daily. The devil is real and he wants us to seek comfort and peace in our worldly desires, but we were made for so much more. Our battle consists of us working towards a deeper relationship with God.

Joey gave us three ways in which we can fight for holiness in our daily lives: consistent prayer, unshakeable confidence, and regular silence. If we prioritize these three things, then we will give God the space to win the war happening in our hearts!

Don't let the things we say at Church stay at Church!! Use these questions to comfortably bring Jesus into your everyday conversations with friends, family, and even those you might not know very well (yet!).

• Are you satisfied with the things that the world offers you?

• Is the devil real? What does he want for your life?

• Is prayer part of your daily life?

• How confident are you in your faith?

• When is the last time that you sat in silence? Why is silence so uncomfortable?

• Is there anyone that is supporting you in you spiritual journey?

Jesus' greatest gift of love to us is the Eucharist. In fact, it is more than just a gift. It is also the Gift-Giver: Jesus gives us Himself every single time we receive the Eucharist.
