1/8 RECAP
Jesus' greatest gift of love to us is the Eucharist. In fact, it is more than just a gift. It is also the Gift-Giver: Jesus gives us Himself every single time we receive the Eucharist.
Come by every week to revisit the Youth Mass Homily!! This past Sunday, Fr. Alfonse Nazzaro (Pastor of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church) preached on the “bubbles” of life that we find ourselves in and how we are made to reflect the Light of the World to those around us. Listen now!
Roughly 2,000 years ago, a man was born who changed the world. He is a central figure of human history, and His name is Jesus!! Historical evidence shows us that Jesus was real, and His influence did not end when He died. His following continued to grow and He continues to impact individual lives.
Through Gospel witnesses, we learn that Jesus was more than just a nice guy or good teacher; He is the son of God. If Jesus is God, we should care about what He said and did. Jesus continues to impact the world, not because He is simply another important historical figure but because He is God and His whole life reveals who God is!
Use these questions to comfortably bring Jesus into your everyday conversations during car rides, dinner time, and beyond.
Why is it important that Jesus was a real, historical figure?
What did Jesus do during His time on earth?
Was Jesus just a “nice guy?” Or was He more than that?
Is Jesus still active and alive today?
How can we be a disciple in 2023?
We are able to unleash the Kingdom of God into the world through affirmation, blessing, and intercessory prayer! Take advantage of opportunities to bring love and life to those around you. Do not be afraid to speak the name of Jesus over your day!!
