1/29 RECAP
Jesus' greatest gift of love to us is the Eucharist. In fact, it is more than just a gift. It is also the Gift-Giver: Jesus gives us Himself every single time we receive the Eucharist.
Come by every week to revisit the Youth Mass Homily!! This past Sunday, Fr. Edwin preached on our calling as Christians to be salt and light to the world, as well as how we can support the larger mission of the Church within our Diocese. Listen now!
Many people value comfort and settle there, but we are called by the Holy Spirit to be courageous and move forward by releasing past burdens and being open to growth. When we reach the end of our ability, Jesus gives us the strength to persevere through the grace of the sacraments and community. A life with Christ is not always easy, but understanding this will reduce the desire to retreat in the face of discouragement.
Use these questions to comfortably bring Jesus into your everyday conversations during car rides, dinner time, and beyond.
Who encourages you when things are difficult? Who do you encourage?
Do you think that Jesus had an easy life? What did He do when He was in a difficult situation?
How can we continue to persevere through the hard parts of life?
