12/4 RECAP
Jesus' greatest gift of love to us is the Eucharist. In fact, it is more than just a gift. It is also the Gift-Giver: Jesus gives us Himself every single time we receive the Eucharist.
Come by every week to revisit the Youth Mass Homily!! This past Sunday, Fr. Edwin preached on the faith that we are called to have in God, who will always take care of us if we choose to follow His will and Word, in small ways and in big ways. Listen now!
As we develop our understanding and experience of prayer, we can learn to overcome obstacles that make it difficult to pray — obstacles of not knowing how to begin to pray, not having time to pray, or getting distracted in prayer.
The Holy Spirit is the master of prayer, and Jesus shows us how to pray through His words and actions. We can learn or use simple formulated prayers to begin our conversation with God, we can schedule prayer into our days, and we can learn to overcome distractions as we pray — these practices can help us make prayer a part of our daily life.
Use these questions to comfortably bring Jesus into your everyday conversations during car rides, dinner time, and beyond.
Have you ever felt distracted in prayer?
How do you deal with distractions in prayer?
What do you talk to God about?
How would you describe your prayer life?
What would happen in you decided to start praying every day?
This week, we encourage you to integrate worship music into your daily walk with Jesus. Play a worship song in the car or in your home before bed, and pray along with the words as best as you can! If you need a few suggestions, check out our Advent playlist available on Spotify!
