IN THE VALLEY // Part 3

This past Sunday, we wrapped up our series by venturing deep into the valleys of our lives. We learned that Jesus took on human flesh and dwelt among us. He was like us in all things but sin. He knows what it is like to be human. He suffered, was abandoned, rejected... He even experienced death. He went to the lowest place so that when we feel low or fall, we are always falling into Him. There is no low point we can experience in life where Jesus isn’t also there.

With Jesus, our suffering is never pointless.

“Jesus Christ loves you; he gave his life to save you; and now he is living at your side every day to enlighten, strengthen and free you.” - Evangelii Gaudium 164, Pope Francis

“Jesus then said to the Twelve, ‘Do you also want to leave?’ Simon Peter answered him, ‘Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.’” (John 6:67-69)

Don't let the things we say at Church stay at Church!! Use these questions to comfortably bring Jesus into your everyday conversations with friends, family, and even those you might not know very well (yet!).

  • When life is difficult, where do you go? How do you cope?

  • What does the culture today say about dealing with suffering/hard times?

  • What does the cross reveal to us about suffering?

Jesus' greatest gift of love to us is the Eucharist. In fact, it is more than just a gift. It is also the Gift-Giver: Jesus gives us Himself every single time we receive the Eucharist.

Come by every week to revisit the Youth Mass Homily!! This past Sunday, Fr. Edwin preached on the invitation we receive at the beginning of Lent: to deny the things that give us comfort so that we can learn to rely even more on the Providence of God. Listen now!

We hope you had a great experience in adoration on Sunday! Did you know that we have a Perpetual Adoration Chapel where you can enter into adoration any time, any day, 24/7?
Stop by this week and say hi to Jesus! He is waiting for you!!!

*note: if you come after 10:30pm you will need a code, text us/ your core leader for help!
