Brings people to Jesus, forms disciples, and sends them to transform the world.

wednesday NIGHT SESSION: bringing it home

And the winners of The St Ann HSM Spelling Bee are.... Gaby and Andres!! There were some ridiculously hard words and a really invested audience — add Phil as the most hilarious emcee of all time, and you can only imagine the fun that we had!! Some of our favorite words: transubstantiation, Syrophoenician, cannkin, conflagration, smorgasbord, and aegis.  Favorite quotes from the emcee: "I.... don't know how to pronounce that." (LOL!) Gaby and Andres went back and forth until we ran out of words, so they clinched a tie!

Erin talked to us about being empowered to keep the light of Christ burning in our hearts when we go home! She challenged the teens to throw away the excuses and begin — TODAY — to invite Jesus into their daily lives. Her talk is below and on our Facebook page if you'd like to watch and listen!

We broke out into small groups for discussion, which was bittersweet since we won't meet on Thursday. it's hard to believe the week is almost over! Our night prayer was an opportunity for the ministry team, Core Team, and some of the adult leaders to pray with and for the teens in specific, personal ways. Earlier this week, we prayed silently over them and their intentions, but tonight, we invited them to approach a prayer team and share something we could pray for — and then pray with them. This is always such a special and powerful experience, and we are so grateful for the teens for opening up and allowing God to enter into the hard things they are carrying.

One more work day!
