SATURday night session: SEEN
We kicked off our time together tonight with a fast-paced small group game called “Jenny’s Game,” which is basically a hyped up version of Hot Potato. It was hilarious and terribly difficult to photograph!
During tonight’s session, Brandon, one of our summer interns broke open our theme for the week: Seen, Known, Loved. What does it mean to be seen by God? To see God?
“I just wanted to be seen by other people — by the world. But that wasn’t bringing me fulfillment,” shared Brandon. There must be something deeper if there is a desire to be seen and noticed.
“You have the beautiful ability to see Christ in others,” he urged. “You can see Christ in your families when you return home.”
He closed with a video from Chris Stefanick to drive home the point that each of these precious teens is of infinite value — not just to God, but to the world and to one another.
After small groups, we had a time of adoration. It was especially powerful to hear everyone’s voices echoing in the parish hall where we gathered.
